After trying to come up with a more interesting title than "Pet Shop," I decided that "Dog-N-Suds" is becoming more appropriate since a fish will also be involved later on. For now, there has been some progress, although slight. I didn't like how Blogger posted the video, so I think I'll use YouTube for now.
It's about 20 seconds of planning, done in maybe 8-9 hours, spread over a few days. I'll be leaving for Wisconsin tomorrow, staying through Sunday, so hopefully I'll post another shot on Monday night. I'm going to try to post YouTube dailies on Mondays-Thursdays until we get closer to the wedding.

Pet Shop
It seems that time is flying by too fast these days. Last night, Naveen and I were talking about our upcoming wedding, and our move to Chicago, and it occurred to me that months have passed during which time I have taken a long break from animating. I haven't been happy about that, but with everything else going on, it hadn't been possible to stay on a good schedule. Now that we are pretty much settled into our new apartment though, it felt like a good time to get back into character animation.
I started out just moving my old AM character files onto this desktop machine, thinking I would use them to do some usual motion tests. But at the end of 3.5 hours, I had 9 seconds of blocking done with Pawn, the pup. It did start with mere motion testing, and some posing, and then I thought about doing a very short 30-second piece with this dog looking cute at a pet shop in front of a potential owner. It's not much to look at now, but if you have any comments, please let me know! Thanks.
